Pre-poll rigging: ECP appoints males staff at women polling stations in NA-48

MIRAN SHAH: Independent candidate for NA-48, Mohsin Dawar accused Election Commission of Pakistan for appointing male election staff at women polling stations.

He said that this was an attempt to discourage women from casting their vote as male family members would not allow them to go to the polling stations.

In his message on Twitter, he also alleged that law enforcement agencies were snatching identity cards from his supports while the ECP have set up women polling station 25 kilometers away from the populated areas.

He declared it a pre-poll rigging on part of ECP, and said that even then such actions have already made the elections controversial. He said that he would challenge the ECP’s decision just for record.
