PESHAWAR, 22 July: A non-government organization with the collaboration of Fata secretariat and Unicef has launched a project to provide healthcare facilities to 17000 families in Bara subdivision of Khyber Agency.
Taj Ali, program manager of CERD, said during a news conference at Peshawar press club that the organization would provide medicines and health facilities to more than 100,000 mothers and children to protect them from diseases and bring down mortality rate.
He further said apart from providing vaccines against nine dangerous diseases, delivery kits, mosquitos’ nets and baby kits would be given to the tribal women to facilitate safe birth.
Taj Ali maintained that these facilities would be available at tehsil headquarters hospital Dogra and health centers at Ajab Talab and Milward. He further said that the project would continue till the end of the December.
