NOWSHERA, 15 December: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak on Wednesday inaugurated a project to provide solar panels to 300 houses in Nowshera which will cost Rs12 million.

The chief minister said at the inauguration ceremony that 300 houses in Pir Baba and Qala Kandao areas, which earlier remained deprived of the basic facility of electricity, will be provided solar panels under the project sponsored by the Pakistan Tobacco Company. Besides solar panels, each beneficiary family will also get one fan, two bulbs, battery, mobile charger and electric light.

Azhar Baig, representative of the company, said on the occasion that the company also provided solar panels to 300 families last year.
