PESHAWAR, 14 October: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman claimed Saturday that demanding Fata’s merger with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have collectively betrayed tribal people.
He said he was still standing firmly on his stance ­to hold referendum before deciding future of Fata.

He addressing party workers durig Fata Youth Conference Conferene organized under the aegis of JUI-F.

“”JUI-F stick to demand of holding referendum on Fata,” he said, adding that the displaced tribesmen should first be rehabilitated then their future be decided.

He maintained that Fata could be made a separate province and those who have been demanding to merge it with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were fulfilling western-funded agenda.

JUI-F chief said tht tribal people were being insulted and fooled and lauded tribal people for forging unity among themselves and started struggle for reforms in Fata.

Maulana Fazl said that Fata Youth Conference was representing the true aspiration of tribal people. He said that Fata could be made a separate province.

JUI-F has organized the conference on Fata Reforms here at Tehmash Khan Stadium where a large number of people from Fata have participated.
