PESHAWAR, August 19: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Mr Imran Khan has threatened that his Azadi March could enter the Red Zone in federal capital Islamabad if Mr Nawaz Sharif refuses to resign the premiership.
Addressing the long march participants in Islamabad at evening, he said he would enter the Red Zone and that his party’s activists would also follow him.
Mr Khan added that there was possibility that the government might arrest him today, but that no-one would be able to control his party workers in such a situation.
The PTI chairman said that they would hold a peaceful protest in Red Zone. On 18 August, the PTI members of the National Assembly, Sindh Assembly, Punjab Assembly, and Balochistan Assembly announced to resign.
Moreover, the PTI members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly would also take decision about whether to resign or not soon.
Dr Tahirul Qadri announced to start Awami (Public) Parliament today at 5pm and also asked his supporters to start protests in the entire country.
