ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Thursday nominated former provincial information minister Shah Farman as next governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. His nomination was approved by PTI chairman Imran Khan in a party meeting, announced party spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry.
Talking to media, Shah Farman said that the people of tribal areas have rendered huge sacrifices for Pakistan and they would be provide with all facilities they need.
Farman served as the provincial information minister in the previous PTI-led government lead by chief minister Pervez Khattak. On July 25 elections, Farman won the PK-70 and PK-71 Peshawar constituency.
He lost the PK-70 seat after a vote recount to Awami National Party’s (ANP) Khushdil Khan.
