QUETTA, October 24: Activists of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) have announced to stage rallies throughout the province in protest against suicide attack on the party chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
Three people were killed and several injured when a suicide attacker blew himself close to the vehicle of the JUI-F chief at a rally in Quetta.
A statement from the JUI-F’s provincial chief Mr Gul Naseeb Khan says the party workers would protest in various districts and stage demonstrations in front of the press clubs.
He added that the protests would be staged after Friday prayers.
The JUI-F chief, Maulana Fazlur Rehman narrowly escaped the suicide attack while he was leaving the rally.
In the past, Maulana Fazlur Rehman had survived two such attacks, ie once in Charsadda district and then in Swabi district.
