PESHAWAR, 10 May: The renegade army units, supporting Houthi militants, have accepted the five-day ceasefire offer of the Saudi Arabia today.

According to a news agency, the chief of the renegade army unit Col Sharaf Luqman said that the truce was accepted to open the gate for humanitarian aid, warning that violation of the ceasefire agreement would lead to a military response from their side.

However, Houthi militants have not issued any statement vis-à-vis truce hitherto and said that Saudi Arabai has yet to offer them truce formally. A couple of days back Saudi Foreign Minister, while addressing a press conference with his US counterpart, announced one-sided ceasefire in Yemen from 12th of this month. He had also urged the Houthi militants and their allies to announce ceasefire as well.
