MALAKAND, 12 December: The closure of crushing machines by Malakand Administration on the pretext of causing air pollution has rendered hundreds of local people jobless.
Crushing Machines Association President Murad Ali and Deputy President Fayyaz Khan said that the closure of the machines were not only inflicting financial loss on owners but left a large number of laborers jobless.
They added that the marble industry was causing more pollution than crushing machines but the former was still functioning which was a clear discrimination and injustice with them.
The owners crushing stone machines have appealed to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Governor to lift the ban on crushing machines.
They threatened to initiate a series of protest demonstrations if the ban on crushing machines was not lifted.
