PESHAWAR, 19 November: The tube well at the general bus stand in Peshawar, which was constructed 28 years ago, has gone out of order.

The shopkeepers and transporters at the bus stand said the tube well produces polluted water which is unfit for consumption. They said the people are facing difficulties due to the out of order tube well and are forced to consume polluted water or buy it from shops. They demanded the government to repair the tube well to end problems of transporters, shopkeepers and passengers.

“The water of the tube well is polluted which may cause diseases to its consumers. The government should either repair the tube well or install a new one to resolve this problem,” Muhammad Tikka Khan, president of the local shopkeepers association, told TNN.

District Naib Nazim Syed Qasim Shah said the problem will be resolved with the cooperation of Municipal Services Peshawar soon.
