PESHAWAR, 5 July: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan has said the repatriation process of the internally displaced persons (IDPs) of Khyber Agency will complete by August.
In a meeting with US Ambassador to Pakistan Richard Olson at the Governor House on Saturday, the governor said the first phase of repatriation of the displaced persons from South Waziristan Agency has been completed and 40,000 displaced families from Khyber and North Waziristan tribal agencies have also returned home.
Mr Mehtab said peace has been established in Pakistan due to ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb. He said the revival of small industries in FATA will offer tremendous opportunities for economic development and generate employment opportunities.
The governor thanked the US government for its help in rehabilitation and fulfilling basic needs of the IDPs.
