PESHAWAR, 22 April: Foreign Office (FO) has refuted the “baseless” media report about the Islamabad-Riyadh “deal” to shift nuclear weapons to Saudi Arabia.

The Foreign Office spokesman, Qazi Khalilullah, said that Pakistan strictly believes in non-proliferation of nuclear technology and weapons. He was responding to a London-based media organization, alleging that Saudi Arabia has decided to acquire nuclear weapons from Pakistan.

Pakistan, he added, is a responsible country and its nuclear assets are in safe hands. There is no chance of proliferation of nuclear weapons. All the allegations regarding selling nuclear weapons to Saudi Arab are baseless and mischievous, he concluded.
