PESHAWAR, 21 October: Entomologists of the University of Peshawar on Saturday reported 75 percent decline of dengue larva in University Town locality of provincial capital.

A report prepared by the experts of Entomologists after tests in houses at Peshtakhara and Sufaid Dheri localities revealed shows a considerable fall in dengue larva.

The report said that dengue larva was found in 687 houses out of total 2,600 houses in Peshtakhara locality.

Dengue larva was found in as many houses during a survey carried out two months ago in Sufaiddheri locality. However, a new survey that was carried out in 2600 houses, the larva was found only in 387 houses.

As many as 58 persons have, so far, died of dengue outbreak in Peshawar while thousands affected.
