TANK, 05 July: A number of  residents of South Waziristan Agency (SWA) are facing problems in getting entry passes to spend Eid-u-Fitar with their relatives and families in the agency.

According to political administration, all people including local and non locals are required to get entry pass before traveling to denotified areas of SWA.

Hundreds of people from  SWA have visited the offices of Political Agent Zafar Islam Khattak and Assistant Political Agents Shoib Khan and Najibullah Kakar in Tank over the last two days to get passes for their entry into the agency for Eid holidays.

But these people return empty handed and disappointed as all the offices are locked. Almost all the staff of political administration is on leave on the account of Eid holidays since Friday.

Talking to TNN some people have blamed the officials of local administration for mismanagement and carelessness while dealing with residents of SWA.

They demanded of the army to allow their entry into the agency without pass in connection with Eid-ul-Fitar.

Adnan, a local of SWA, while talking to TNN outside the locked office of Political Agent Zafar Islam said “I have come here from Karachi after eight years in order to spend Eid in my hometown in South Waziristan Agency. However, I have failed to get the entry pass due to the unavailability of relevant staff.  I will be really upset if I dont spend Eid in my hometown”.
