MINGORA, May 1: Retired government employees have asked authorities to increase their pensions up to 300 percent in Swat district.
The pensioners staged protest in front of the Swat Press Club and asked the government to also provide them allowances and other facilities as provided to them during their services.
They added that the allowances must also be provided to them for the coming holy month of Ramadan and the two Eids.
The central president of the All Pensioners Association, Fazal Mabod Khan, said, “Pensioners, most of them in aged, are suffering from various diseases. So the government must increase their health allowance. They should also be given house rent.”
