WANA, 4 May: People affected by military operations who have now returned to Sarwakai area of South Waziristan Agency have complained that basic facilities are not available in their area.
The local people told TNN that the government had promised them at the time of return that all basic facilities will be provided to them on their return. They said despite tall promises of the government, the area lacks facilities of clean drinking water, healthcare and education which is a clear violation of the pledges made with the people.
“Only one vehicle is available here which is being used for 24 hours a day continuously. No vehicles are available in the area for those who fall ill or face some other urgent requirement. This problem requires immediate attention,” a local resident told TNN.
“We demand restoration of electricity and transport. We also demand basic healthcare facility in our area,” another local resident said.
