KHAR: Rifts between leadership of religious alliance Muttahida Majlis-e-Aml surfaced in the Bajaur over distribution of tickets.

Nominated candidates of Jamaat-e-Islami Qari Abdul Majeed and Haji Sardar announced to contest elections as independents.

They accused Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam of awarding ticket to JUI-F candidate Maulana Abdur Rasheed without consulting supreme council of MMA.

Addressing a press conference here, JI candidates announced an end to the alliance and said that they were deceived again and rejected awarding of ticket to Rasheed.

Qari Majeed said that they would not accept the decision and warned if MMA decision was enforced on them therefore they would contest elections as independent candidates.

“Anti-tribal Maulana Fazlur Rahman once again deceived tribal people,” he said, adding that they would contest elections as independent candidates.
