PESHAWAR, 27 September: The government has approved grant of Rs16 million for medical treatment of deserving patients in four hospitals of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In a meeting in Peshawar on Monday, the Zakat and Ushr Department approved Rs5 million for Shaukat Khanum Hospital, Rs3 million for Al-Khidmat Hospital Nishterabad, Rs4 million for Ayub Medical Hospital Abbottabad and Rs4 million for Swat Institute of Nuclear Medicine.

The meeting also approved increase in the salaries of employees. Participants of the meeting also called for increasing efforts to ensure fair distribution of Zakat funds.
