chitral iftar

CHITRAL, July 16: Thousands of underprivileged people get food for Iftar from authorities of Saudi Arabia at 45 mosques in Chitral district on a daily basis throughout the holy month of Ramazan.

TNN correspondents says the Iftar programme has been started from the first day of Ramazan month at mosques in Ayun, Ishriyat, Boni, Ghoch, Chitral town, Arandu, Mordir and Garam Chashma.

Local residents say they appreciate and thank the Saudi authorities for providing food to Chitralis as they say there are fewer opportunities of employment and earning in the hilly district.

“We thank Jamiat Al Hadith, who give us food items on behalf of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Out area is underdeveloped and the relief programme is benefitting many underprivileged people here,” said an area resident, Abdullah.
