PESHAWAR : Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman has delivered quickly on his promise and announced immediate release of 2,107 Pakistani prisoners in Saudi jails.
This big news was shared by Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry in his message on the social media website Twitter.
“As a sequel to Prime Minister of Pakistan request, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince of KSA Mohammad Bin Salman has ordered the immediate release of 2107 Pakistani prisoners Saudi Jails,” he wrote.

The great news was also shared by Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi who welcomed the move of the crown prince and wrote, “HRH Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman has graciously agreed to free 2107 Pakistanis with immediate effect, while rest of the case will be reviewed later.”

On Sunday night, Prime Minister Imran Khan hosted a banquet in the honour of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. During the dinner, Imran Khan requested Mohammed bin Salman to allow Pakistani Hajj pilgrims to undergo immigration at the three major Pakistani airports before leaving for Saudi Arabia for their convenience. The prime minister also requested the Saudi authorities to look into the hardships of the Pakistani labourers working in the kingdom. “There are some 3,000 (Pakistani) prisoners there and they are poor people who have left their families behind,” Imran Khan said.
In response, the crown prince told Imran Khan that he cannot say no to Pakistan “Whatever we can do, we will deliver that,” he assured.
The crown prince has also accepted Imran Khan’s request to provide immigration to Pakistani Hajj pilgrims in the country. The crown prince has announced that Pakistani Hajj pilgrims will have their immigration for Saudi Arabia done in the country.

This is the first official visit of Mohammed bin Salman to Pakistan since his elevation as crown prince in April 2017. During the visit, MBS will also meet President Dr Arif Alvi and Army Chief General Bajwa. He will also meet the opposition leaders.
