KHAR, May 9: Unidentified people blew up a primary school for boys in Bajaur Agency last night.
TNN correspondent says the incident took place in Nawagai tehsil while administration later arrested eight suspects under the Collective Responsibility clause of the Frontier Crimes Regulation (FCR).
The FCR consists of a special set of laws applicable to the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) of northwestern Pakistan. The Collective Responsibility clause allows the tribal authorities to punish a whole tribe as a result of the behavior or crime of one or more other individuals.
Many state-run schools have been destroyed in the tribal region in recent years.
