QUETTA, 5 July: The security forces have claimed killing seven militants, including three commanders, and arresting 23 others in different operations in Balochistan.

The Frontier Corps (FC) spokesman Khan Waseh told TNN that the security forces conducted a raid in Turbat area on Saturday and killed five militants. Five militants were arrested in injured condition during the operation and arms were recovered from their possession. The spokesman added that two militant commanders were among the dead. An FC soldier was also killed during the exchange of fire with militants.

The security forces have also claimed killing a militant commander in Barkhan area and destroying two camps used by the insurgents.

In another search operation in Saryab area of Quetta, the security forces arrested three militants. Security sources said the arrested militants were involved in target killings in Quetta.

The militants also attacked a camp of the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) in Panjgur with rockets on Saturday. A vehicle of the FWO was damaged in the attack.
