PESHAWAR, October 28: A two-day seminar titled “Provincial Peace Dialogue” has started at the University of Peshawar campus.
The seminar, organised by the Peshawar Peace Initiative (PPI), is meant to raise awareness among people about basic rights.
On the occasion, the local residents, students, journalists and others attended the event.
The participants said the Constitution of Pakistan ensured fundamental rights to everybody, but that society was witnessing disharmony because people were being deprived of their rights.
“Several laws have been made regarding different things but we don’t have any details or information about them. In case we get to know about our rights, then many don’t know how to avail it. Such seminars are important for capacity building of people and raising awareness among them about various issues,” stated one of the speakers on the occasion.
