BARA, 24 May: Sepah tribe of Bara tehsil of Khyber Agency has rejected the Rs120 million fine imposed on them by the political administration under 40 Frontier Crimes Regulation (FCR).

A jirga of Sepah tribe in this connection was held yesterday where the participants said punishing the whole tribe for the sin of militants is a big injustice with the tribesmen. They said militancy is the problem of the whole FATA and the administration has not sought fine from any tribe so far.

The Sepah tribesmen demanded the administration to take back the decision of imposing fine on them and announce repatriation of the peaceful tribesmen to their native areas. They said they will be compelled to install a protest camp if their genuine demands were not fulfilled.

The political administration of Khyber Agency imposed Rs120 million fine on Sepah tribe yesterday under 40 FCR for not handing over militants.
