PESHAWAR, 1 November:  Shaheen Shah Afridi hailing from Khyber Agency has been selected for Pakistan Under-16 team that will tour Australia on November 18.

Shaheen Shah, a left arm fast bowler, is the younger brother of former Pakistani Test cricketer Riaz Afridi who has recently joined United Arab Emirates team.

He was selected among the 30 players from across Pakistan and then invited to a camp in National Cricket Academy Lahore. During the camp, he grabbed the attention of selectors and secured his place in  the 15 members Under-16 team.

Shaheen Shah said he is very happy over his selection in the Under-16 team.

“I want to bring good name for Pakistan and FATA region. As I am selected from FATA, I want to become an inspiration for the youth of the region to come forward and show their talent in sports,” Shaheen told TNN.
