PESHAWAR, 27 June: Ahmed Shahzad’s 69 and Azhar Ali’s 63 runs made Pakistan fightback in the second inning of the second test match against Sri Lanka in Colombo.
At the end of the third day Pakistan scored 170 runs at the loss of two wickets, still needing 60 runs to equal the lead of the Sri Lankan team in the first inning. In the second inning Muhammad Hafeez was bowled out at eight while Ahmed Shahzad was removed at 69. Azhar Ali and Yonus Khan are batting on 63 and 23 runs, respectively.
In reply to Pakistan 138 runs in the first inning, Sri Lanka made 315. Yasir Shah secured six wickets in the first inning.
