PEHAWAR, 18 December: Shaukatullah of Jamrud High School Hashimabad has won English debate competition among 40 schools of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA.

The debate competition on title of corruption was organised in Hayatabad area of Peshawar on Friday and Director General National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Saleem Shehzad was chief guest on the occasion. Mr Shehzad on the occasion awarded cash prize of Rs10,000 to Shaukatullah for winning the debate competition.

Talking to TNN, Shaukatullah said he is very happy over winning the prize and he wants to become a leader in the future.

“I will like to thank my teachers for supporting me for winning this contest. I make a lot of practice while preparing and delivering my speeches. I repeat my speeches several times alone and then in front of children before going for the final contest,” Shaukatullah said.

Shaukatullah had also received a cash prize of Rs50,000 and commendation shield from Political Agent Khyber Agency Shahab Ali Shah on 9 December. The Khyber Agency Education Department has also announced Rs60,000 for sports equipment for Hashimabad High School over best performance of Shaukatullah.
