LAHORE: Former Indian cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu on Friday arrived in Pakistan to attend the oath-taking ceremony of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Sidhu entered Pakistan via Wagah Border. He will attend Imran Khan’s oath-taking as the 22nd prime minister of Pakistan to be held on Saturday.

Former Indian cricketers Kapil Dev, Navjot Singh Sidhu and Sunil Gavaskar were invited to attend the oath-taking ceremony, however, they excused to come to Pakistan.

According to Indian media, former Indian captain Kapil Dev declined the invitation citing ‘personal reasons’ while Sunil Gavaskar had his commentary commitments during the ongoing test between England and India.

Former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu had accepted Imran’s invitation to attend his oath-taking.
