PESHAWAR, 1 November: At least six people were killed and four others injured when a rocket hit a mosque in Nangarhar province of Afghanistan on Friday.

Achin district governor Haji Ghalibhe said the rocket hit the mosque when the people were offering Maghrib (evening) prayer. Nangarhar police chief’s spokesman Hazrat Hussain Mashriqiwal said two suspects, including a foreigner, were arrested after the incident. He said it was not clear yet if the militants wanted to target the mosque or a nearby situated security check post.

Achin is considered a hub of Daesh militants in Afghanistan.
