PESHAWAR: At least six people, including children, died and several others wounded in a bomb blast in Herat province of Afghanistan on Monday.
According to foreign media reports, explosive material was placed in a rickshaw which went off in the afternoon near a mosque in Shindand district, Herat governor’s spokesman said. The blast occurred at a busy market. The Afghan Taliban through a social media message denied involvement in the attack.
Monday’s explosion came after at an explosion outside a Shia mosque in Herat city last month killed one person and wounded seven others. Daesh militant group had claimed involvement in that attack.
