MIRANSHAH, November 12: Six suspected militants have died in a US drone attack in North Waziristan tribal region, administration officials say.
The drone fired four missiles on a house in Dwatoy area of Dattakhel tehsil last night, killing six suspected militants. The officials say those killed also include foreigners.
Pakistan’s foreign ministry has always condemned drone attacks because authorities say such attacks are violation of Pakistan’s airspace and sovereignty.
13 killed in Khyber Agency operation
Meanwhile, security forces claim to have killed another 13 militants as jet fighters pounded various areas in Khyber Agency.
The Inter-Services Public Relations, a department that manages public relations for the Pakistani armed forces, says the forces took the fresh action in Daras area where three hideouts of militants were also targeted.
It says the casualties also include the masterminds of the recent suicide attack neat Wagah border in Lahore.
