Orakzai tribal district is among such areas of the country which are still very backward and where the British-era laws are still practiced. Although the area on paper is now part of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after merger, but practically nothing has changed there are people are still living under the old system. The area was deprived of basic facilities before the merger, and no facility is provided even after the merger.
