PESHAWAR, July 4: A student union, “I Am Volunteer”, arranged an Iftar party for 250 laborers working on construction of Shaukat Khanam Cancer Hospital in Hayatabad township of the provincial capital.

The coordinator of the union, Mr Sahibzada Anees, told TNN that the main reason behind the Iftar party was to pay tribute to services of Shaukat Khanam Hospital and to express solidarity with the labourers working on the hospital’s construction.

“Shaukat Khanam Hospital is a welfare organization and is known across Pakistan for its public service. We wanted to let the labourers know that we acknowledge their services,” he added.

A labourer told TNN, “Today all the labourers will pray for these students who arranged food for us. May Allah grant them success in their lives!”
