QUETTA, 12 December: Certificates, stipends and sewing machines were distributed among the youth of Baluchistan under Prime Minister Youth Skills Program during a ceremony held here in Quetta on Sunday.
Assembly Speaker Baluchistan Raheela Durrani also attended the ceremony which was organized by Parwa Welfare Society.
The students who completed different courses in the Youth Skills Program were awarded certificates, stipends and sewing machines.
Talking to TNN, one of the teachers said “I was a teacher of cooking class, I stood first in competitions among teachers which is a matter of pleasure for me. I want to convey a message that the skills program should continue so that other girls may also get training about different trades”.
Bakhtawar, a beneficiary of the training program, said “I completed six months course of beautician. I learned a lot and the environment being provided here to students and the teachers is very encouraging and friendly”.
Addressing the ceremony, Raheela Durrani said that women hold an important role in development of the country and the incumbent government has taken several steps to provide opportunities to women folk in different sectors.
