PESHAWAR, September 18: Students of Gulbahar Technical College have protested lack of facilities at their hostel.

At a rally on 17 September, the protesting students said that free education and hostel facilities had been assured under the Chief Minister’s Free Technical Education Scheme. However, they added that they were lacking facilities of clean water, electricity and others.

They demand the government authorities solve their problems. “We have raised out problems with authorities of the technical education directorate, but to no avail,” said a student.

When contacted, the deputy director for the Technical Education Mr Muhammad Tayyeb said he would inspect the hostel and solve the problems soon.
