HANGU, November 12: Students of the Commerce College in Hangu have protested because they say teachers do not attend their classes while the institution is also facing shortage of teaching staff.

At a rally, the demonstrators said the college set up two years ago had only eight teachers. They said only two teachers attended the classes while the rest remained absent.

They said the principal also remained absent and just visited the college twice or thrice a month. They said their time was being wasted.

“On the one hand, we lack teachers and on the other few of the available teachers are regular in attendance. We also face shortage of sports facilities. Students are protesting today because they could not find solution to the problems despite visiting the parliamentarians and deputy commissioner of the area,” stated one of the students.
