LOWER DIR, 14 November: The students of Post Graduate College Timergara in Lower Dir on Monday staged a protest demonstration against the boycott of teachers from classes.

The protesters marched from the college  and reached to the press club after walking for almost three kilometers. They angry students blocked the road for every kind of vehicular traffic due to which people faced severe difficulties in reaching their destinations. Some of the students also broke windows of vehicles and signboards during the protest.

The protesters said that their precious time was being wasted by college teachers due to their classes’ boycott which has entered the third week. The non up-gradation of their posts have forced the college teachers to refuse teaching the students.

The students demanded of the government to up-grade the teachers that they could end their boycott of classes.

It is worth mentioning that teachers having BPS-17 have been boycotting from classes against not fulfilling their demand for one step promotion.
