North Waziristan residents seek share in Miranshah shops
The residents of Zafar Town area of North Waziristan tribal district on Tuesday staged protest demonstration in favour of their demands.
The protesters who gathered outside Miranshah Press Club were holding banners and placards inscribed with slogans in favour of their demands. They said their houses were damaged during military operation Zarb-e-Azb and now shops have been constructed in that place but they were not given their share in the shops.
The protesting tribesmen said some shops have been opened in the bazaar while the shops which have been built on their land have not been opened and they have not been given any assurance that they will get due share in it. Two local tribesmen, Imranullah and Malik Farooq, said they held several meetings with the civil administration officials, but no headway was made. They said they were compelled to hold protest after failing to get positive response from the concerned officials.
They demanded the government to give them their due share in the shops being built on their property.
