PESHAWAR, May 18: Hitting hard at federal government for suspending Fata reforms package, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday said that government was not sincere with Fata people and deliberately keeping Fata backward in all fields.
“The suspension of Fata reforms bill in National Assembly has disappointed tribal people”, said Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, JI provincial ameer, during a press conference here at Peshawar Pres Club.
Demanding implementation of the recommendations proposed by Reform’s committee, in letter and spirit, he said that Rewaj Act 2017 and the 30th constitutional amendments in the National Assembly will address grievances of tribal people and end FCR.
Similarly, he said the it will extended jurisdictions of Supreme Court and Peshawar High Court to Federally Administered Tribal Areas through the proposed ‘Rewaj Act 2017.
He said that federal government deliberately kept Fata backward in all fields including development. He said the basic infrastructure had badly damaged in tribal areas, whereas no health and education facilities were available to people of Fata.
Talking to TNN, Mushtaq said warned to stage protest demonstrations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA, shut down the whole country and opt to take extreme steps for the acceptance of their demands.
