SWAT, 2 July: Muhammad Talha, a talented FSc student from Swat, aims to excel in the field of music besides continuing his education.

In an interview with TNN, Muhammad Talha, who is gifted with a very melodious and sweet voice, said he had a passion for music from his childhood. He said his passion further increased after he won prizes in different Na’at and national songs competitions at the school level.

“I always got first position in the Na’at and national songs completions at my school. I also sung national songs at various programmes organised by the Pakistan Army in Swat. I received great applause from the people which further encouraged me to excel in this field,” Talha told TNN.

Although Talha belongs to a religious family, but he has succeeded in getting permission from the family members to pursue his dream. He said he has already started preparations for the next year’s “Pakistan Idol” programme. He said he is hopeful that he will be selected for the programme.

“My family members are now encouraging me to start preparations for Pakistan Idol. My father is fully supporting me and he has also advised me to record an album,” he said.

Talha said he is greatly inspired from the singing of Sajjad Ali and Atif Aslam.

Talha is also recording a national song for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations. He said most part of the song has been recorded while the rest will be recorded soon.
