PESHAWAR, 2 July: Pakistan will play third and final match of the Test series against Sri Lanka at Pallekele on Friday.

Pakistan won the first match of the series, while Sri Lanka levelled the series in the second Test. Wahab Riaz will not play the match due to injury, while Hafeez will also skip the match as he is in India for his bowling action test. Rahat Ali and Shan Masood are likely to play the third Test from Pakistan.

Kumara Sangakkara has also opted not to play the third Test against Pakistan. Sangakkara, who has 12,305 runs from 132 Tests, will be replaced by Upul Tharanga.

Pakistan Captain Misbahul Haq said Pakistan have good opportunity to cash in on Sangakkara’s absence and claim the series.
