Three children of a family killed in Mardan roof collapse

PESHAWAR: Three children of a family were killed and two got injured on Friday after a roof of a house collapsed in Shahbaz Ghari, district Mardan. The grisly incident took place at Batseri locality of the city.

Immediately after the incident, the local people and Rescue workers rushed to the site to retrieve the family from the debris.  Bilal Ahmad Faizi, spokesperson for rescues 1122, the emergency service of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said that the unfortunate family shifted to the house five days ago from Kohat.

Faizi claimed that a team of Rescue 1122 rushed to the spot and recovered the dead bodies from the debris. He added that they’ve managed to recover two children and their parents alive from the debris of the house.

Those who lost their lives include Kashif and Arif both are sons of Alamzaib while Mah Noor a daughter of Amjid. Two children namely Atif and Asif were also injured in the incident and were rushed to districts headquarter hospital for treatment, where their condition is stated to be out of danger.

Police shoot student injured in Nowshera for failing to stop at checkpoint

NOWSHERA: A student was shot and injured by the Police for failing to stop at a checkpoint in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Nowshera district within the jurisdiction of the Raisalpur Police station on Friday.

The youngster, identified as Kamran, who was a student, received the bullet in his hand and was injured. He was rushed to district headquarter hospital where his condition is stated to be out of danger.

Kamran was resident of Par Hoti, Mardan and was on the way to home on his motorcycle when he was asked to stop at the checkpoint. District Police officer Nowshera Mansoor Aman directed the police officials to registered an FIR on the complaint of injured student and constituted a team under SP investigation, Iftikhar Shah to conduct an impartial investigation into the incident.
