PESHAWAR: Three persons lost their lives when a dumper fell into a ravine during construction work on a road in Bajaur tribal district on Saturday.

The district administration said a dumper fell into a ravine during construction work on a road in Barang area due to which three persons, Ihsanullah, Syed Badshah, hailing from Mardan, and Muhammad Fawad, hailing from Charsadda, lost their lives on the spot. The district administration sent the bodies to ancestral areas after necessary formalities.

Student dies, 4 injured in Haripur firing

In Haripur, a student was killed and four others were injured in a clash between two student groups at the Post Graduate College, police said.

The four injured students were taken to Abbottabad for threaten where their condition was stated to be critical. Police said inquiry into the incident is underway.

Vehicle carrying fireworks catches fire

In a separate incident, police opened fire on a vehicle at Karkhano check post in Peshawar on Saturday when it didn’t stop on signal.

The vehicle caught fire after the firing. Sources said the vehicle was carrying fireworks due to which it caught fire. The fireworks in the vehicle exploded in all directions after the firing incident. The vehicle was badly damaged in the incident.

Child dies in Bara

A 10-year-old child died of a head wound during playing at school in Bara tehsil of Khyber Agency on Saturday.

The student Muslim was playing at the Government High School Jan Khan Killi when he fell and sustained injury in his head. He was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injury.

1 killed, 2 injured in Tank firing

One person lost his life and two others were injured in a firing incident in Tank.

Police said two rival groups clashed over an old enmity in Shah Alam village. During the firing, one person was killed and two others were injured.
