QUETTA, 7 July: The security forces have killed three militants during a targeted operation in Quetta.

According to security sources, the operation was carried out in Eastern Bypass area on Monday. The sources said the slain militants were affiliated with a banned organisation and one of them appeared to be a foreign national. The sources added that these militants were involved in target killings in Balochistan. Two security forces personnel also sustained injuries during the operation.

The security forces have also claimed arresting 17 militants, including three fugitive commanders, during operations in Chaman, Sui and Sherani areas of Balochistan. Arms were also recovered from the arrested militants.
