PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has developed a special mobile phone application for public toilet searches to facilitate public especially tourists to scenic areas of the province, it was announced by the KP special assistant to Chief Minister for Science and Technology Kamran Khan Bangash on Monday.
The ‘Public Toilet Finder’ app is the first digital approach of its kind in Pakistan so that the public can learn about the presence and location of public toilets, says Kamran Bangash, in his statement.
According to Kamran Bangash, the digital app will be available in KP after its launch on November 19. Such App was first launched in Australia and India who are currently using this technology for public toilets acces. He says the application will provide a healthy environment for the people of the province and especially the tourists and the people will be protected from diseases. He said other provinces are ready to provide public toilet app support if they want.
33rd National Games inaugurated in Jamrud
JAMRUD: Local players, politicians and tribal elders participated in the Opening ceremony of the 33rd National Games held here at Jamrud sports complex on Monday.
According to details, Members provincial assembly (MPAs) and other politicians including Alhaj Shafiq Afridi, Hajji Shafiq Sher Afridi, Khaliq-ur-Rehman, Taj Mohammad Afridi, Deputy Commissioner Khyber Mehmood Aslam Wazir, Sports Director Mohammad Nawaz Khan, the DPO Muhammad Hussain Khair and a large number of men and women players from all the four provinces participated.
The special guest inaugurated the games by throwing a ball to Gilgit-Baltistan team. Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, speakers said that holding the National Games for the first time in Jamrud would prove that peace has been established in tribal districts. They said that holding the National Games proved that we want peace and development here and tribal youth need such entertainment programs.
