PESHAWAR, 24 October: The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has denied joining hands with the Afghan Taliban.
In an email to BBC, the Pakistani Taliban said they had no intention of making any alliance with the Afghan Taliban. The TTP clarified that the previous email about the TTP alliance with the Afghan Taliban was a fake one and was sent through a hacked email address of the TTP.
In the new email, the TTP spokesman Muhammad Khurasani said their fight is against the Pakistani government and news about their alliance with the Afghan Taliban was incorrect.
In the earlier email, which has been declared as fake by the banned TTP now, it was claimed that the Pakistani and Afghan Taliban have decided to launch joint attacks. That email had also claimed that a joint statement of the Pakistani and Afghan Taliban will be issued soon.
The Afghan Taliban have already denied any alliance with the TTP.
