PESHAWAR, 2 August: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday met Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif during a brief stopover in Pakistan.
Mr Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, PM’s Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and other officials welcomed the Turkish president at Nur Khan Air Base.
During the meeting, both the leaders discussed regional and international issues. Mr Erdogan praised the efforts of Pakistan for bringing peace in the region. He returned to Turkey after the meeting. It was Mr Erdogan’s seventh visit to Pakistan.
