DERA ISMAIL KHAN, 20 November: The Wildlife Department of Lakki Marwat on Friday ceased two precious falcons which were being smuggled from Peshawar to Dubai and arrested one smuggler.

The Wildlife Department team stopped a bus travelling to Karachi at Ramak check post and recovered two falcons from a smuggler, hailing from Peshawar. The smuggler was arrested and Rs30,000 fine was imposed on him.

District Forest Officer Abdul Haleem Marwat told media persons that the Wildlife Department has recovered fines of Rs2.5 million from smugglers of precious birds.
