PESHAWAR, 09 December: Police here Wednesday arrested two persons allegedly involved in human trafficking.
According to police account, one of the accused Lawang Khan allegedly sold his daughters to Nawaz Khan a resident of Kohat some 22 years back at Rs.90,000/- on the condition that the girls would marry the sons of the later.
“One of Nawaz’ sons married a daughter of Lawang, while the other has refused to wed the second girl. Now Nawaz wants to marry the girl himself whereas Lawang and his daughter are not willing,” informed an official of the Phandu police station.
Police have arrested both the accused and FIR has been registered against them for alleged human trafficking.
