Two injured in Landikotal blast

LANDIKOTAL, 21 September: Two officials were injured when a vehicle of Customs officials was targeted with a remote control bomb in Landikotal, Khyber Agency, on Thursday.

The political administration said a vehicle of Customs officials was travelling to Torkham from Peshawar when it was targeted by a remote control bomb. Sepoy Karim Khan and clerk Yousaf were injured in the blast. They were taken to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for treatment.

The security forces cordoned off the area after the incident and launched search operation. Twenty-three people have been arrested in the area under collective responsibility law.

The Pak-Afghan Torkham Road has also been closed for all kinds of traffic.
